No candidates shall be declared
to have passed examination of any semester unless
he/she has obtained a minimum of 45 percent of marks
in each paper.

However, a student may be admitted
to the II Semester if he has not passed the I &
II semesters. But no student shall be admitted to
the V semester, if he /she carries more then seven
(7) papers from I, II, III and IV Semester put together,
so also no student can be admitted to the VII Semester
or IX Semester if he /she carries more than seven
papers from I Semester or IX Semester if he/she
carries more than seven papers from I Semester to
VI Semester and I Semester to VIII Semester respectively.

Candidates passing the examination
of all semester provided in I (i) above shall be
awarded the following classes.
a) Student securing 45 percent and above but less
than 50 percent shall be declared in the pass class.
b) Student securing 50 percent and above but less
than 70 percent shall be declared in the first class.
c) Student securing 60 percent and above but less
than 50 percent shall be declared in the pass class.
d) Student securing 70 percent and above shall be
declared to have passed in First Class with distinction.
- The rank of a candidate at the BA (Law ) Examination
shall be declared on the basis of the marks secured
in all papers at the I, II, III, IV, V & VI Semester
Examination of the courses put together.
Teaching Hours
Each paper shall be taught for 6+2 hours in a week devoting
6 hours for theory and 2 hours for tutorial.
No candidates shall be eligible for
a rank unless he/she passed each of the examinations
i.e. each of the semesters I to VI Semester and each
of Semester VII to X Semester in First Attempt.
